Julian Kalel: 17-year-old singer-songwriter from El Paso, Texas

is making an impact

17-year-old singer-songwriter and rising country music artist, Julian Kalel has been making waves in the music industry from El Paso, Texas to Nashville, Tennessee. Showcasing his talent with a set of original songs written and composed by Julian himself, the native El Pasoan received a very warm welcome from fans, artists and the city itself on Friday, February 2nd, during his Nashville debut while raising funds and supplies for the Nashville Foster Love Closet and Resource Center at 6th & Peabody, home of Ole Smokey Distillery and YEE-HAW Brewery. The Nashville Foster Love Closet provides support, materials, and resources for families involved in the foster care system. In December of 2023, Julian Kalel hosted a concert to benefit the Migrant Refugee Center in El Paso. When asked about his efforts, Julian expressed his gratitude, stating, "I am blessed to have the opportunity to help others any way I can."

Julian's performance in Nashville also kicked off RENEE BLAIR'S HILLBETTY TOUR. Renee is the 2023 MUSIC ROW AWARDS winner for SONG OF THE YEAR and the 2023 PEOPLE'S CHOICE COUNTRY AWARDS for MUSIC VIDEO OF THE YEAR winner, both for "WAIT IN THE TRUCK", sung by HARDY feat. LAINEY WILSON. Julian shared the stage with esteemed artists such as Shane Arthur, Kenzi Lewis, Mary Kutter, and Drew Hale, another successful musician from El Paso. Hale was part of the “Tractor Supply Emerging Artists Program”, in partnership with GRAMMY (2024, Best Country Album) and CMA (Entertainer & Album of the Year) winner, and The Opry Entertainment Group.  “Playing and collaborating on stage with such incredible artists was an unforgettable experience. Everyone made me feel welcomed,” said Julian.

Looking ahead, Julian has signed to, is managed by and working with native El Pasoan Diana Krys of Red Planet Entertainment Group, now based in Nashville, with plans to perform in June, during CMA Fest. Additionally, he will be recording his newest original single, “Girl Without A Face”, with Ian Miller (Brett Eldredge, Drew Holcomb) and Derek Phillips, (Brett Eldredge, Gloria Gaynor, Charlie Hunter). Julian Kalel's music resonates with his personal battles against depression and anxiety. One of his original songs, "Girl Without A Face," is among a collection of four tracks designed to assist individuals in navigating emotions of solitude, apprehension, and despair, encouraging constructive healing and coping mechanisms.

Julian Kalel’s dedication to both his music and philanthropy sets him apart as a young artist making a positive impact. His upcoming projects and collaborations with established industry professionals signal an exciting future for this talented musician.
